This can be long and winded, but I spent 5 hours trying to solve this problem. The old version of Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005 Redistributable cannot be deleted. However, you can always go on the Technet forums and post there. It will cost a few hours, but save the headaches in the long run.
Given that every piece of software that you install using a version of this dll or package c ++, it is it corrupted or missing or maybe messed up in the registry.
